Description
When the AA team asked us about our bespoke finishes we offered a range of options including flockage material, supplied by Fenner Paper – this immediately caught their eye. It is a fabric rather than a paper and they thought that the material resembled the interior roof lining of an Aston Martin! The job was required on the Wednesday and we received the artwork on the Friday before. The coverage meant that the drying time would be four days longer than any other materials. On the Tuesday afternoon when the text was just dry enough to cut, the customer informed us that the books needed to be at the meeting in Basingstoke at 8am on Wednesday morning not 12pm as originally planned. The job was hand bound in the digital finishing department and our Business Development Director James Jose then took the job to Basingstoke at 1:45am, sleeping in his car so he was there for 7am to deliver the job.
